Why visit the UK?

Variety of attractions

From the scenic cliffs of Dover to the majestic Scottish Highlands, every corner of the UK offers unique natural beauty. Take the plunge into one of many crystal-clear natural pools in the Lake District, or take a relaxing stroll through picturesque villages in the Cotswolds.

Explore the national parks or immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the capital – shop on Oxford Street and enjoy the bustling energy that London has to offer. The UK is a treasure-trove of attractions to suit every preference.

Idyllic coastlines

The UK’s geographical island status ensures an abundance of breathtaking coastline. For those who enjoy a more electric atmosphere, southern England’s seaside towns offer vibrant nightlife and plenty of daytime attractions.

Alternatively, the UK offers untouched coastlines – particularly plentiful in northern Wales, Scotland, and northern England.

Sunbathe, sail, or swim – whatever your preference, UK coastlines provide an ideal escape for all.

Rich historical roots

Interested in history? The UK offers a rich portfolio of historical architecture, museums, and monarchical attractions. From Buckingham Palace to Stonehenge, find historical gems dotted throughout the country!

Find the birthplace of literary geniuses like Dickens and Shakespeare, or visit the famous Roman Baths. The UK brings history to life like nowhere else in the world.

Meet Sally, guide for the UK

“The UK is best known for London, but if you’re visiting the UK, make sure you go beyond the capital city. There is so much architecture, culture, and loads of historical attractions dotted across the country!

Take a boat journey through the Norfolk broads, camp in the hills of the Lake District, or take a plunge into the Cornish Sea. My personal favourite is driving the Route 500 around the Scottish coastline, where you will never get bored of cascading waterfalls and stunning sandy beaches.

I’d highly recommend hiring a rental car to really see what the UK has to offer, and to make every attraction accessible to you outside of public transport links!

I would also recommend trying the local cuisine in each part of the United Kingdom, as each has something different to offer. Try a Cornish pasty in England, traditional shortbread in Scotland, and Welsh cakes in Wales.”
