Meet Eilis,  guide for Orlando, Florida

“Orlando has been one of our favourite holiday destinations and it always guarantees a memorable family trip: the magic never stops! There will always be so many great new reasons to return with your family to experience something different.

Kennedy Space centre is a must-visit. We were even lucky enough to watch a rocket launch, which was incredible.

The Kissimmee area is a great location for access to some of the most popular theme parks and is also close to many of our self-catering apartments. To enjoy as many rides as possible, beat the park queues with a fast pass, which you can book in advance. You can also get multi-activity tickets to use in different places.

I’d also recommend a trip to some of the natural springs, including Blue Spring State Park, De Leon Springs State Park, and Wekiwa Springs State Park, which are all an hour or less from central Orlando.”

Beat the crowds and enjoy slightly cooler weather from mid-September to early November, with temperatures averaging 23 degrees. If you don’t mind slightly warmer temperatures, then February to April is also an ideal time to visit. Orlando has a subtropical climate, and with it come thunderstorms, which tend to start around mid-June.

Are there any events in Orlando?
